Broadcast BIO: Have you ever dreamed of writing a novel based on your life? Our guest today has written two and is working on a third, all featuring strong women characters. D J Presson describes herself as a “literary late bloomer.” She started writing in her 50s after a multifaceted business career. You’ve written one book, ”The Outcasts of Eden” about the environmental movement and another, “The Broker: a novel,” about the insurance industry. What insider experiences inspired you?

She draws from her multifaceted life and business career to illuminate the backstory of critical issues facing America. D J is the author of two novels –”The Outcasts of Eden” and “The Broker: a novel,” and is working on a third, “The Heritage,” due out in 2017. D J spent 25 successful years in business. Her multifaceted career includes high-end catering, small restaurant chef, public relations, an honest (really!) real estate salesperson, insurance company go-to person and “insurance broker whipping post.” She’s also has lived in elegance and splendor as a “rich man’s muse” and a “crazy Frenchman’s fiancé". A career as a novelist had been her dream all of her life. She finally took the emotional and financial plunge to retire to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, and is blessed to be able to chase her dream of writing novels.
